My heat transfer class had a simple project where we needed to model a heat sink fin under thermal load with convection and radiation heat transfer to its surroundings. I simulated the fin in ANSYS steady-state thermal when only convection is present and when both convection and radiation is present. The maximum heat flux in the fin was determined and compared between the two test cases.
