“Hard Copy” Resume
About
I was going to a career event and wanted to bring something that could make me stand out, so I made a “hard copy” of my resume out of laser-etched, sandblasted aluminum. It was quite the talking point among the Apple recruiters.
To make the resume, I cut out a piece of aluminum using a water jet, and then sandblasted the aluminum for an Apple-esque finish. The aluminum plate was then coated in Cermark which would allow the laser engraver to etch my resume onto the aluminum plate. The laser engraver etched the writing onto the aluminum, and the Cermark was washed off of the completed “hard copy” resume.
