Advanced Surface Modeling: VW Beetle

About

For a project in my advanced CAE course, I modeled a near-accurate VW Beetle. This is probably the most complex surface-based modeling I have attempted, and I am pretty happy with how most of it came out. I had only been using Siemens NX for about three months when I attempted this model.

To model the VW Beetle, I inserted blueprints of front, back, side, and top views into the NX workspace. Then using 3d-splines, I formed a wireframe of each panel of the vehicle. Then with surface tools, I created surfaces for each body panel and sewed them together to create the entire solid model.
